If he still loves you as much as you still love him then work on it. When a couple celebrates their golden or even platinum anniversary I assume it’s because they never gave up. However, if you’re not on the same page then focus on the present and don’t get fooled by your false impressions of the future. For now, work on the relationship you have with yourself. As much as you love this person, don’t ever forget that you love yourself. That’s the person you need to love more because no one can love you better than you. I feel your pain.
